By correctly aligning the pelvis placing the legs in a bent position and eliminating leverage points, the CamStar AB Trunk Curl  effectively restricts hip flexor recruitment and isolates the rectus abdominis. The design eliminates hip flexors so effectively that negative "helper" weight settings are provided for rehab and beginning trainers. An adjustable thigh pad positions users of varying height with the axis of rotation anterior to the T-9 vertebra so the spine moves freely.
