The
lower abdominal is engineered to stabilize the upper torso and place users in
a bent-leg position, which controls hip flexor contraction and isolates the
rectus
abdominis. The upward rotation of the pelvis is initiated by the lower portion
of the rectus abdominis, thereby extending it’s contraction time and
increasing the training benefits.
