A.R.T. incorporates a series of variable resistance
techniques found throughout the Advanced Performance product line. The resulting
force profiles that are felt by the user are uniform and fluid throughout the
entire range of motion.
ROTARY TECHNOLOGY
This new technology (A.R.T.) is unilateral single axis rotation that brings you
smooth ergonomic, articulation of the shoulder joint. The converging axis
exercise movements are unsurpassed. Since its introduction, everyone is talking
about the superior function of the single axis concept. This technology smooths
out difficulties associated with dual axis machines so A.R.T. machines have an
even, uninterrupted flow. Frictionless! Free from
awkward movements.
Paramount’s CAD software built a better workout by taking the
“Natural human motion path” and building machines around it. This is a
truly different workout — that works!
One incredible advancement is that you can change the force to your muscles by
moving the handles and pads. It’s a new kind of “iron”, building muscles more
thoroughly than any machine has ever done before. The
adjustable, patented handles have nine
selections for you to vary the isolation path to your muscles. Imagine the

you study the Motion Path illustrated below you
can see that a circle is formed through the range of motion. The center of
this movement is offset in front of the user with the diameter of the circle
passing directly through the wrist joint. This observation was the basis for A.R.T. Unlike any other design concept, Advanced Rotary Technology provides
equal benefits to all users of every experience level and body size. The concentric circles illustrated below
indicate the path of exercise movement. If you place a 5th percentile female
to a 95th percentile male in the exact same ending articulation, the series
of circles scribed will all have the same center point. This offset center
is the location of the pivot axis of the machine. In order to accommodate
users from 5th percentile females through and beyond the 95th percentile
male, adjustment must be provided to take into account the diameter changes
of the “circle”. This change of 11" is accounted for with handles that
adjust into any of 9 positions. |
