Natural Runner™ provides
the closest alternative to running without the joint-pounding results often
experienced from running outdoors or on a treadmill. The stride pattern is
designed specifically to mimic running, offering the same high-intensity workout
without the impact.
This machine features a
stride length of 20 inches, optimal for both elite athletes in training and
fitness enthusiasts who demand a challenge. Elliptical machines with strides
shorter than 20 inches do not provide a broad enough range of motion for serious
runners, and actually counter their training efforts for this reason. An
ergonomic design encourages biomechanically correct positioning of the body for
smooth, fluid movement and the narrow distance between skates ensures a safe,
comfortable stride. Together, these factors result in a full range of natural
movement in the hips, knees and ankles to most closely mirror actual running or
jogging.
Star Trac’s Natural
Runner includes the Sport Utility Display, with a place for stereos, water
bottles and towels conveniently within reach. The console offers a range of 11
challenging and varied training programs and a Quick Start button that allows
users to start their exercise programs and change intensity with the push of a
single button instead of entering a programming mode.
Natural Runner™ also
features the Personal Trainer Studio™, which allows the user to design up to 50
custom “signature” programs and save them in the unit's memory. Natural Runner
is self-powered, reducing operating costs and eliminating messy and potentially
hazardous electrical cords. Casters and a handle are built into the design to
allow for easy mobility and placement almost anywhere in the home. The machine
has a system of belts that yields smooth, quiet operation and requires no
lubrication and virtually no maintenance.
