The Precor 846i Experience Upright Bike is a great choice for anyone who wants a stationary bike that just works. Thanks to the step-up drive and no-contact magnetic generator system, wear and tear is kept to a minimum, meaning that unnecessary maintenance and repairs are avoided.
Users can ride the 846i upright bike in a seated position, like a traditional stationary bicycle. However, the bike can also be ridden in a standing position, perfect for all-terrain and mountain bike riders who want to emulate the real-life conditions of their rides. The seat can be raised or lowered as necessary, with a range of 21 to 35 inches. Riders can choose from 25 levels of resistance, adjusting the resistance using tactile paddles that click with each adjustment. Resistance settings range from 18 watts at 20 RPM to 500 watts at 100 RPM.
The Precor 846i features 12 workout programs to keep riders engaged and motivated, including hill climb, cross country, weight loss, watts control, heart rate, 3 interval options, as well as a fitness test. The self-powered LED screen can display a wealth of workout information, including distance traveled, average speed, current calorie consumption, average calories burned per minute/hour, heart rate, elapsed time, time remaining, SmartRate, and more. The rider’s heart rate can be measured using the on-board sensors built into the handlebar grips, or by using a compatible polar telemetry chest band.
Designed for maximum durability and ease of part replacement, the 846i is built to allow the user to replace parts as necessary using stock bike parts where possible. The seat clamp features a ratcheting post that is compatible with any standard bike seat. The same is true of the 9/16″ crank arms, which accept any standard road or mountain bike pedal–additionally, the crank arms are positively tightened, meaning that riding the 846i will tighten the cranks as you go, eliminating the need for manual tightening and adjustment.
